It's only been a few months since Sullivan's Crossing made its way from Canada over to the United States, but it looks like fans may have a clue at what's to come thanks to a surprise update.
As viewers gear up for Sullivan's Crossing to air season 2, actor Chad Michael Murray (who plays Cal Jones) surprised fans when he announced major news about the upcoming installment. Posting a teaser trailer featuring himself and his co-stars, including Morgan Kohan (who portrays Maggie Sullivan) andScott Patterson (who plays Harry "Sully" Sullivan) he announced on Instagram that new episodes will drop on the Canadian TV channel CTV in April 2024.
"It’s time to return to #SullivansCrossing ❤️," read the caption on February 11. "Where do we go from here? Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, Scott Patterson and the rest of your favourites return to CTV for an all new season this April. 🛶 🌲."
When fans of the drama learned Sullivan's Crossing season 2 is coming back earlier than expected, they immediately expressed their excitement on social media.
"Excited for this!!! ❤️ Can't wait 🔥❤️," one person exclaimed on Instagram. "Feels like forever ago that I watched season 1... super excited to see how good season 2 turns out ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥," another penned. "Looking forward to watching the new season and seeing all that it brings:)," a different follower added.
Some viewers, though — namely those in the U.S. — had one burning question upon seeing the post.
"When can we expect season 2 in the US? Love the show!" one person commented. "But but what about America??? Whahhhh you guys can't keep us hanging after that ending. 😮😮," another wrote. "Can’t wait for it to be in the U.S my new favorite show!!!" emphasized yet another.
While Canadian fans will get the chance to catch up with the folks living in Sullivan's Crossing very soon, unfortunately there's no word yet on when American fans can watch Sullivan's Crossing season 2. But if season 1's episode rollout on the CW in late 2023 is any indication, folks in the United States should expect to see upcoming installments sometime in fall 2024.
As for what to expect from Sullivan's Crossing season 2, it's likely the show will pick up right where it left off, after dropping some major cliffhangers in the final moments of season 1. Given how the show's writers love to haunt characters with key moments from their pasts, fans can look forward to seeing Maggie and Sully navigate their strained father-daughter relationship amid new revelations involving Andrew (Allan Hawco), Sully and Lola (Amalia Williamson).
