It is time for Planet Rugby’s Sunday Social, your quirky recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the past week’s action.

The records continue to tumble as the women’s game gathers more and more momentum! What a moment for Harlequins, who broke the world record for the highest attendance at a women’s club rugby match! Step by step, the sport continues to grow into uncharted territory.

Another United Rugby Championship weekend, another Leinster win and another quick tap variation! This one is outstanding. The attention to detail from the Dublin side is meticulous, and it is one of the reasons they are such a successful team.

The return of the Viking, RG Snyman! It is nothing short of a pleasure seeing the gargantuan South African take to the field for only his fifth appearance since moving to Munster after the 2019 Rugby World Cup. To say injuries have plagued him of late is an understatement. Everyone in the rugby fraternity had a smile for this moment.

The look of years of hard work culminating in a dream being realised. A goosebumps moment as Lily, a young star, gets called up to the Ireland U18 squad! Absolutely love the shock and pure joy all wrapped up in this special moment.

How to motivate a rugby player 101. Simply brilliant. Bristol boss Pat Lam reveals the promise of a fridge full of beer inspired his team’s admirable defensive effort against Northampton Saints!

The great Jonah Lomu! Those defenders stood no chance. Rugby was so blessed to have a star of his quality, a star we all miss.

The player of the week goes to Cheetahs front-row Schalk Ferreira, who rather expertly deals with a random guy, three sheets to wind, on someone’s hood at 6am. Yes, you read right. A Good Samaritan.

A pretty simple takeaway from this clip; stick to the oval ball chaps. The Springboks certainly don’t shower themselves in glory with this football effort. And to answer your question, no, they cannot do it on a rainy night in Stoke!

The calendar year rolls into rugby season for South African schools, and what comes with that is a whole lot of war cries, dancing and, as the locals say, ‘gees’! Have a go at Bishops College, getting their hype on. Love to see school passion in the rugby space!

At the end of the day he is just a regular bloke. Love to see Eddie Jones sitting down with a Fijian Drua fan having a chat. He is probably asking Jones if there is a spot on the plane to France.

Look away, Highlanders fans… That really makes for tough reading, as the Dunedin men have conceded a remarkable number of points in the opening two rounds. Too early for panic stations?

This week’s episode of ‘The internet remains undefeated’! This one is for all the Office fans, as Taniela Rakuro’s try last weekend gets likened to Steve Carrell’s efforts. Top humour.
