17:45 Sky Bet Sunday Series 3YO Handicap

Prairie Falcon steps up to a one-mile trip for the first time and looks an interesting prospect after a promising juvenile year over six and seven furlongs.

He broke his duck with a stylish win in a 12-strong nursery handicap at Glorious Goodwood in July, which he followed by winning a similar event at Ayr in September (both hard-earned by just a head and a neck). He kicked off the new campaign with a fourth-placed finish in a Class 3 event, a creditable display that should put him in good shape for this event against lower-class opposition. An inside draw from stall three should work in his favour, while Connor Beasley is a good booking to bring out this colt's clear potential. Suggested bet: Prairie Falcon each-way in the 17:45 at Musselburgh

18:45 Sky Bet Sunday Series Sprint Handicap A debut win for Dun Na Sead at the Curragh in September 2021 suggested great things lay ahead for this promising filly, but she failed to deliver in a disappointing 2022 season. A couple of early-season pipe-openers in January were finally rewarded with an excellent win in a 14-runner handicap at Dundalk in February. She made a good return to turf at Cork three weeks ago, when finishing a respectable runner-up behind Real Force, and she looks capable of featuring prominently again in today's company. That was in soft/heavy going and she should be better suited by Musselburgh's improving ground, and pairing up again with Oisin McSweeney is it no surprise to see her well-supported in the betting. Suggested bet: Dun Na Sead each-way in the 18:45 at Musselburgh
