Suns center Dario Šarić out indefinitely after tearing ACL in Game 1 of NBA Finals
The Phoenix Suns' win in Game 1 of the NBA Finals came with a cost. Big man Dario Šarić is out indefinitely after tearing his ACL during Tuesday's game, the team announced Wednesday.
Šarić landed awkwardly in the first quarter of Game 1, and was unable to return to the contest due to a knee injury. Šarić played just two minutes. He finished the game with one rebound.
Despite losing Šarić, the Suns pulled out a 118-105 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1.
Suns lose Dario Šarić for NBA Finals
Šarić served as a role player throughout the Suns' postseason run. He's averaged about 10 minutes per game, averaging 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 14 playoff games this season.
His best game this postseason came during Game 2 of the Suns' series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Šarić put up 11 points, three rebounds and two assists in the win. With Šarić out, the Suns will likely rely on a combination of Torrey Craig and Frank Kaminsky to pick up more minutes.
