Benin international, Rock Durand Thuram has sealed a deal with Sunshine Stars till the end of the season.
The former FC Cape Town defender has been in Akure for a week and management of the Owena Whales has given him a contract till the end of the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
"I am delighted to have sealed a deal with Sunshine Stars till the end of the season and I want to work hard with the team to help Sunshine Stars in the second round of the league," Durand told Goal.
"We heard so much about Nigerian league and it's good to finally play here. I hope to enjoy my stay at Sunshine Stars.
"The position Sunshine Stars will be improved upon when the league resume because there more matches to be played.
"There a couple of new arrival here and we hope to work with a renewed spirit. I am excited and can't wait to wear the Orange and Blue colour of Sunshine Stars.''
Sunshine Stars sit 17th on the league table with 21 points from 18 games.
