Bridewell only joined his new setup at the last round, after leaving the Bathams Honda team, and the rider quickly bonded with the bike to put in some strong performances a few weeks ago at Oulton Park. The Brit will now use the time before race one to make big improvements to his Kawasaki so that he can compete for a podium.
“Today was alright, I don’t know why I am disappointed I can’t explain it. The team has been working fantastic and the whole package has been phenomenal. We qualified in fifth and we are on a decent lap time but I am disappointed as I know there is a lot more that I can get out of the bike,” said Bridewell, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the circuit.
“It is positive for the front row so we are not a million miles away but we need to make some big changes on the bike for tomorrow. I feel that I am riding good but the lap times don’t justify that, if I carry on riding as I am and improving the bike we should be lapping in the 1’27’s quite comfortably.”
