Oulton BSB: Seeley snatches epic Supersport race

Northern Irishmen Seeley took the holeshot only for reigning champion Glen Richards to experience his first taste of leading a race this season. But the Australian wasn't able to hold on to the lead for long as Mar-Train Yamaha's Easton looked on for the double after winning both races at Thruxton. The former Superbike front-runner passed Seeley and then Richards before opening up a second gap at the front.

Seeley's ride was faultless though, getting the better of Richards at Island Bend before posting lap after lap at lap record pace, eventually closing in on Easton. The dicing duo began to pull away, opening out a seven second lead over the chasing pack before the pair exchanged places at the front coming down to the last lap. Easton held the lead on the run down to Lodge, as he did on Sunday, but Seeley moved for the inside to win the drag to the flag.

Smiths of Gloucester Triumph's Billy McConnell sealed his second podium of the weekend in third, bettering his fellow Australians Jason O'Halloran and Glen Richards. Seton Yamaha's Graeme Gowland took sixth, with Gearlink's Ben Wilson storming through to commendable seventh from the back of the gird. Scott Smart was ninth ahead of Taylor Mackenzie and the cup winner, Jake Dixon.
