Only ten Britten V1000s were ever produced after it was innovatively designed and built by John Britten and a group of friends with limited resources in a home workshop in Christchurch, New Zealand during the early 90s. Their dream was to build the motorcycle from scratch and turn it into a winning machine which they achieved as it later went on to win the Battle of the Twins in Daytona, USA and set a number of world speed records.

The machine has been brought to the UK by New Zealand motorcycle enthusiast and collector Ken Grant. Ken's machine is the actual World Championship-winning bike, which won the 1996 World BEARS (British, European & American Race Series) title. It won at Daytona, took second place at Monza and then won again at Thruxton, Zeltweg, Brands Hatch and then Assen.

The Britten V1000 features a number of innovations including extensive use of carbon fibre, the radiator located under the seat, double wishbone front suspension and frameless chassis and this will be a unique chance to see it on track with many now owned by private collectors and museums around the world.
