Improved conditions are expected to deliver for the remainder of the event window - stop four on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour - so organisers have decided to wait for the arrival of new swell to begin competition.
“Poor conditions again this morning so we’ve called competition off for today,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “We’ve got plenty of time available in the waiting period and will wait for a new swell to get things going here in Fiji.”
Last year's event saw 11-time world champion Kelly Slater produce a formidable performance to win.
