Surprise Jurrien Timber substitution sparks Arsenal injury worry vs PSG
Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber was forced off at half-time in Tuesday night's UEFA Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Netherlands international started for Mikel Arteta at right-back and was impressive in the first 45 minutes. Goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka put the Gunners ahead in their second fixture of the league phase.
However, he didn't reappear from the dressing room for the second half and was replaced by Jakub Kiwior. No details were provided on the defender but there was no sign of any struggles before half-time.
Timber missed almost the entirety of last season with an ACL injury picked up on his debut for the club. He returned to Arteta's side during pre-season and has hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium.
The Dutchman has played in every game for Arsenal so far this season. As well as playing at right-back, he has also performed at left-back for Arteta.
Fortunately for the Gunners, his absence didn't impact the result of the game as they held on to their 2-0 lead. Joao Neves came the closest for PSG from a corner but they never offered to alter the outcome.

It's a quick turnaround, once again, for the north Londoners. They take on Southampton at home on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off) before the second international break of the season.
Arteta is expected to provide an update on Timber in his post-match press conference.
