Chris Sutton says he is ‘worried’ for Leeds United with their relegation from the Premier League now a “strong possibility”.

The Whites are currently one point above the drop zone with one game remaining.

Rangers have overachieved by reaching Europa League final…but Frankfurt are not a step too far

Burnley – who are 18th – face Aston Villa away from home on Thursday night and can leapfrog Jesse Marsch’s side with a draw.

Meanwhile, Everton face Crystal Palace at Goodison Park knowing a win will keep them up.

Leeds face Brentford on the last day of the season, with Burnley hosting Newcastle and Everton travelling to top-four hopefuls Arsenal.

With their destiny out of their hands due to their relegation rivals’ games in hand, many are fearing the worst for Leeds.

Former Blackburn Rovers striker Sutton says the Whites’ relegation would “worry” him as he does not expect star men Raphina and Kalvin Phillips to stay at the club if they do down.

“I worry for Leeds if they get relegated and there’s a strong possibility they will get relegated,” Sutton said on the Monday Night Club (quotes via Inside Futbol).

“Raphinha’s been linked with Barcelona, looks like he’s going to go, their key man. Kalvin Phillips, he’s another one, will he want to hang around in the Championship?

“I’m worried what could happen.

“A lot of Leeds fans, they loved Marcelo Bielsa, absolutely loved Bielsa.

“I think we’ve talked about Leeds a few times and talked about what is their identity under Jesse Marsch.”

Elsewhere, Everton manager Frank Lampard has insisted that his side’s match against Palace is not an “all or nothing” game.

“If you approach it as ‘all or nothing’ and then we don’t get the right result, do you then try to rekindle that you have a game to come?” he said.

“It is the reality. We have to approach it as a game at Goodison, a game against a really good opponent, and a game we all understand what it is.”
