Sweden’s Nils Höglander submits early goal of the tournament at World Juniors
We’re only a few hours into the start of the World Junior Hockey Championships, and might already have the goal of the tournament.
Sweden’s Nils Höglander pulled off the illusive lacrosse-style goal against Finland and man, it’s a beauty.

Höglander was a second-round draft choice by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2019 NHL Draft this summer. He’s recorded six goals and nine points in 19 games for Rogle BK Angelholm in the Swedish Hockey League this season.
It’s not the first time the 19-year-old has pulled off this goal either. Earlier this season Höglander executed it as one of his six tallies so far in the SHL.
