A new Swindon Town mural has been unveiled with some of the greatest players to appear for the club recognised.

Sarah Harris from Stratton St Margaret has only been making murals for clients for six months.

However, she was challenged to do her most difficult mural to date when she was asked to complete a Town display for a client in Gloucester.

The completed mural shows former England manager Glenn Hoddle who made 67 appearances from the club between 1991 and 1993.

Former defender Dion Conroy and manager Richie Wellens are also in the mural lifting the League Two trophy, which Town won in 2020.

Robins legend Jan Åge Fjørtoft is shown on the mural.

The striker scored 27 goals in 72 appearances over two seasons from 1993 to 1995 before he moved to Middlesborough.

Ms Harris explained how the mural came out.

She told the Adver: “I was commissioned to do the Swindon Town mural via a chap in Gloucester who is a huge Swindon Town fan.

“Doing the Swindon Town, one is the first time, where I’ve done portraits of real people, so that took me out of my comfort zone.

“But I really enjoyed it, I was nervous, but it turned out okay and people seem to recognise who they are.”
