Taskmaster season 15 finale spoilers follow.

Taskmaster has crowned its season 15 winner in a finale featuring an amusingly disturbing puppet version of Greg Davies.

Tonight's (June 1) final episode saw the coveted golden head going to Mae Martin, who earned the precious trophy by finishing off with 174 points total.

Interestingly, Greg's gilded head wasn't the only likeness of the one and only Taskmaster fans were treated to tonight as he was given a realistic, slightly disturbing puppet of himself for the prize task.

The opening challenge saw this year's quintet — Mae, Frankie Boyle, Ivo Graham, Jenny Eclair and Kiell Smith-Bynoe – all dressed up in Beatles-inspired Sgt Pepper outfits — coming up with ideas for Greg Davies merchandise that doesn't exist… yet.

It was Mae that gifted the host the puppet, an impressive work from the comedian's crafty dad that paved their way to their big win – and also managed to creep out Alex Horne in the process.

Next, the taskers were asked to fill up a glass of water from the furthest distance. It was Mae who got those sweet five points again by creating a complex system of pipes taped together, with Jenny coming a close second.

For the finale's third challenge, the contenders had to play copycat chess, replicating Alex's every move in the exact same time as him. The group task saw two teams composing a specific lullaby for a profession of their choice, with Mae, Jenny and Kiell penning a soothing one for a watercolourist and Ivo and Frankie coming up with an inappropriate one for a dog walker.

After skilfully tricking Greg during the studio task, Jenny won the episode, but her best efforts weren't enough to beat Mae, who'd been in the lead since the first episode.

The Feel Good star was awarded Greg's golden head — a fair trade after he got the puppet.

Taskmaster series 15 airs and streams on Thursday nights at 9pm on Channel 4. Six further series and a spin-off, Junior Taskmaster, have been confirmed.
