International pop sensation Taylor Swift risked riling Everton supporters after using Liverpool's anthem to advertise her upcoming performance in the city.

The Eras Tour is the star's sixth concert tour and will consist of 152 shows across five continents, with the tour having commenced on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, United States, and is set to conclude on December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada. It became the first tour in history to surpass $1 billion (£787m) in revenue, overtaking Elton John's five-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour to become the highest-grossing tour of all time.

Swift has included 10 tour dates in the United Kingdom, with her three performances in Edinburgh, Scotland having been performed on June 7, June 8 and June 9 last week. The tour's 100th show will take place on Thursday, June 13 in Liverpool while shows 101 and 102 will be on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15 both at Anfield respectively.

Tuesday, June 18 will see Swift travel to perform for one night in Cardiff before three consecutive nights in the nation's capital London on June 21, June 22 and June 23. However, before she lands in Liverpool for Thursday night's show, she's managed to further fuel the divide between the city's football clubs already.

In an official post to her 'The Eras Tour' account on social media platform X, she shared a photo of one of her prior performances on the tour with the caption: "You'll never walk alone when you're at 'The Eras Tour'! Taylor Swift officially takes over Liverpool, UK for the 100TH SHOW of 'The Eras Tour' in exactly 3 days on JUNE 13TH! #LiverpoolTSTheErasTour" along with a slew of emojis.

Understandably, football fans were quick to remind her that there are two clubs in the city after seeing her use 'You'll Never Walk Alone', with one such tweet reading "whoever runs this account, our apologies for Everton".

Another read: "Oh dear - how to alienate at least half of Liverpool …."

And another: "Bestie not everyone in Liverpool is a Liverpool fan, let’s not start the YNWA stuff please. sincerely, a fan of their rival team."
