Team news: Butcher puts trust in Tuffey

Tuffey keeps Caley place

Jonny Tuffey is set to continue in goal for Inverness in their SPL fixture with St Johnstone.

Tuffey was a late replacement for last Saturday's 1-0 win at Aberdeen after Ryan Esson suffered a groin injury in the warm-up which is likely to keep the first-choice goalkeeper out for a number of weeks. Under-19s stopper Scott Mathieson is set to be named on the bench.

Wingers Jonny Hayes and Aaron Doran and defender Kenny Gillet have returned to training and should be in the squad for Sunday's match with Hibernian, but Chris Hogg (knee) and Andrew Shinnie (foot) remain out.

Murray Davidson is a major doubt for St Johnstone's trip to Tulloch Caledonian Stadium

The midfielder had a scan on a knee injury picked up in the 2-1 win over Hearts on Saturday and manager Steve Lomas reported good news, but the trip to Caley Thistle is likely to come too soon.

Left-back Callum Davidson (hamstring) should be fit to be considered, having missed the Hearts clash.
