Mkhitaryan and Rashford lead Manchester United attack as Jesus returns to City squad

The two front men return as Jose Mourinho makes four changes from the team which beat Burnley on Sunday

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford will both start for Manchester United as the Red Devils look to down City in Thursday's derby at the Etihad Stadium.

The pair return after playing roles as substitutes in United's 2-0 win at Burnley on Sunday, with skipper Wayne Rooney and world-record signing Paul Pogba among those missing out.

Ander Herrera is back in midfield and Antonio Valencia replaces Ashley Young at right-back, with Pogba absent due to an injury picked up in the dying moments of the Turf Moor clash.

Jesse Lingard is the other player dropping out of the starting XI, while Anthony Martial retains his place in the line-up after netting his first goal in over two months at the weekend.

For City, Sergio Aguero starts with Gabriel Jesus back in the matchday 18 for the first time since fracturing a metatarsal against Bournemouth in February.

Manchester City: Bravo, Zabaleta, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Sterling, De Bruyne, Sane, Aguero. Subs: Caballero, Sagna, Fernando, Jesus Navas, Clichy, Gabriel Jesus, Aleix Garcia.

Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Blind, Bailly, Darmian; Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini; Mkhitaryan, Martial, Rashford. Subs: Romero, Rooney, Lingard, Young, Shaw, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe.
