TEAM NEWS: Pogba returns to Man Utd starting XI at Sunderland

Jose Mourinho looks like he may have options in defence ahead of the first leg of their Europa League semi-final

Paul Pogba has been included in the Manchester United starting XI by Jose Mourinho for Sunday'sPremier League fixture at Sunderland.

The France international made his comeback from a hamstring injury as a substitute against Everton on Tuesday, but has now been entrusted with a midfield spot from the off at the Stadium of Light.

Elsewhere, Luke Shaw starts for only the third time in over four months at left-back while Matteo Darmian comes in at right-back for the first time since January. Sergio Romero relieves David de Gea in goal and Antonio Valencia is again rested.

United head into the game sittingsixth in the Premier League table, seven points adrift of the Champions League places.

A win will see them move above Arsenal, though, with the Gunners not in action again until Monday evening.

Sunderland are in desperate need of a win as they look to reduce the 10-point gap which separates them from Premier League safety.
