Ten players could miss Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest clash as Mikel Arteta faces anxious wait
Both Arsenal and Nottingham Forest face an anxious wait on injuries as the Premier League returns this weekend.
The Gunners will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Nuno Espirito Santo’s side at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off). Arsenal are without a win in their last four Premier League matches, and drew 1-1 with Chelsea in their last outing before the break.
The dip in form leaves them in fourth place in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of league leaders Liverpool. They have the chance to close that gap on Saturday, ahead of Liverpool’s match against Southampton a day later.

Ahead of the match against Forest, Mikel Arteta has some injury concerns. Bukayo Saka withdrew from England duty over the international break through injury, he is said to be ‘in a race against time’ to be fit.
There is also an injury concern over Leandro Trossard, who was substituted in Belgium’s Nations League clash against Israel on Sunday with a knock. Other doubts for Arsenal include Declan Rice, who has been nursing a broken toe, that caused him to also withdraw from international duty.
Arsenal will definitely have four players miss the game against Forest. Ben White is ruled out after undergoing knee surgery and will be joined on the sidelines by Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), Riccardo Calafiori (knee) and Kieran Tierney (hamstring).
Forest will definitely have two players missing for the game with midfielders Danilo and Ibrahima Sangare longer term absentees. There is also a doubt over the availability of Elliot Anderson who faces a race against time to be fit.
The Reds did have a worry over full-back Ola Aina too after he returned to Forest from international duty early amid reports that he received treatment before being substituted for Nigeria on Thursday. However, NottinghamshireLive report that the defender has been given the green light to feature against Arsenal.
