WEYMOUTH have announced three more pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2022/23 Vanarama National League South campaign.

All the games take place in July, adding to the home clash with near rivals Dorchester Town on Saturday, July 30.

Before taking on the Magpies, boss David Oldfield has arranged three away trips.

Weymouth first travel to Southern League Premier South side Poole Town on Saturday, July 16 before travelling to Somerset where Southern League Division One outfit Frome entertain the Terras three days later.

Poole's divisional rivals Weston-super-Mare then host Weymouth on Saturday, July 23. All kick-off times have not been confirmed.

What does the pre-season diary mean for Weymouth?

WEYMOUTH have so far announced friendlies with teams mostly one division below, or two in Frome's case.

Weymouth have often played some EFL clubs in pre-season during recent years, such as Exeter or Swindon, as a good gauge of their preparations.

Boss David Oldfield spoke of making the Terras "feel better" in his first press conference as manager and with a fairly comfortable calendar lined up so far it's clear there could be tougher tests ahead.

Particularly because of his preferred style, which warrants a combination of high-energy press and progressive passing.

To have only four matches at this stage is obviously insufficient, so expect the Terras to arrange more in the coming weeks.
