The Daily Sweat: Will LeBron James become NBA's all-time leading scorer on Tuesday?

For a while, it's been obvious that LeBron James would become the NBA's all-time leading scorer. The only question was when it was going to happen.

There's a chance it happens on Tuesday night.

LeBron needs 36 points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and take over as the league's all-time leading scorer. The Los Angeles Lakers play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. The Thunder played on Monday while the Lakers were off. Los Angeles is a 6.5-point home favorite.

Currently at BetMGM, Lebron James' over/under for points scored on Tuesday night is set at 32.5 points. We're going to assume a vast majority of bets tonight will be coming in on the over. Oddsmakers are expecting a big night. If he gets into the 30s in the fourth quarter, you know he'll be pushing to get it done and over with.

LeBron is averaging 30 points a game this season. He's had nine games this season where he's scored at least 36 points. If he doesn't get it done on Tuesday night, he'll almost certainly do it in Los Angeles' next game. However, you'd have to think LeBron wants to put on a show and do it in style with a monster game.

There was some disappointment and turmoil surrounding the Lakers in recent days after their failed attempt to acquire Kyrie Irving. However, on Tuesday, all the attention will be on James. Will he deliver another epic moment in his epic career?

It's trade deadline week in the NBA, so excitement is high. In addition to LeBron watch, there are five other games on the NBA schedule.

New Orleans has won back-to-back games after snapping a 10-game losing streak. The Pelicans are 2.5-point home favorites over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.

Out west, the Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets are both 8.5-point home favorites over the Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves, respectively. In the east, the New York Knicks are short road favorites in Orlando, while the Brooklyn Nets are 5.5-point home underdogs against the Phoenix Suns.

We have a solid night of college hoops on tap as we inch closer and closer to March. Tuesday's slate features four ranked matchups.

In the Big East, No. 21 UConn is a 4.5-point home favorite against No. 10 Marquette. Marquette has been on fire in conference play while UConn is just 4-6 since their 14-0 start. In the Big Ten, Indiana is coming off a massive win against Purdue. On Tuesday night, No. 18 Indiana is a 4.5-point favorite over No. 24 Rutgers.

In the ACC, No. 8 Virginia is a 7.5-point home favorite against No. 22 NC State. The Cavaliers are coming off a loss to Virginia Tech, which snapped a seven-game winning streak. NC State has won four in a row and eight of nine. In the Big 12, No. 12 Kansas State is a 4.5-point home favorite against No. 17 TCU. TCU's leading scorer Mike Miles Jr. has been out recently. Kansas State is 16-7 against the spread, the best record in the Big 12.

The best game of the night might just be in the Steel City. The Colorado Avalanche are slight -115 road favorites against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
