The Daily Sweat: Is it worth a shot to take Suns to come back and win NBA Finals?
The Phoenix Suns were up 2-0 in the NBA Finals. They led Game 4 in Milwaukee by nine points in the fourth quarter. They were down one point with the ball in the final seconds of Game 5.
The Suns have to wake up on the eve of Game 6 wondering how they face elimination. The Milwaukee Bucks are up 3-2 in the series, with the Finals shifting to Milwaukee for Tuesday's Game 6. The Bucks are 5-point favorites at BetMGM.
Of course, not all is lost for the Suns. There might be value on their odds to win it all now.
The Suns were massive favorites to win a championship after those first two games in Phoenix. That was a little more than a week ago. Now the Suns are +310 to win the championship at BetMGM, with the Bucks being big -400 favorites.
Not that much has changed. The Suns had turnover problems in Games 3 and 4 in Milwaukee. The Bucks' three stars went off in Game 5. And had Giannis Antetokounmpo not managed that ridiculous block on Deandre Ayton in Game 4 or Jrue Holiday not pulled off a gutsy steal and subsequent alley-oop to Antetokounmpo to finish Game 5, it would be the Suns who would be favored, or have clinched already. The Suns are still perfectly capable of winning two in a row.
The road is a lot harder now, of course. Milwaukee will be fired up with its chance to clinch an NBA title at home for the first time in franchise history. The only time the Bucks won an NBA championship, in 1971, they were on the road. Even if the Suns steal Game 6, the Bucks have now shown they can win in Phoenix.
But the series isn't over. Far from it. The Suns can still win it, and now you're getting pretty good odds on it.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants meet again, starting a crucial four-game series. The Giants' lead in the NL West is down to one game. The Dodgers are -135 favorites at BetMGM. The Giants have the better pitcher Monday, with Kevin Gausman facing Tony Gonsolin, and they are worth a look as a +110 underdogs.
The Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays have a fun series starting. Boston is in first place but the Blue Jays are seemingly getting hot. The Blue Jays are a manageable six games back in the AL East. Toronto can mash the ball. The Jays are -135 favorites at BetMGM in Monday's opener and they are probably the right side.
Who cashed tickets last weekend?
The Bucks' Game 5 win was the biggest sports moment of the weekend, as Milwaukee won and covered as 4-point underdogs to take the lead in the NBA Finals. The other big moment was Collin Morikawa winning the British Open, his second major championship. Morikawa was +3300 at BetMGM before the tournament, and it might be a while before he gets those kind of long odds in a major again.
It's good to be a Milwaukee team, as the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Cincinnati Reds to take a startling seven-game lead in the NL Central. The New York Yankees might have saved any hope they have at competing for an AL East title by winning Saturday and Sunday against the Red Sox. The Yankees are still seven games back.
What's the best bet?
Give me the Blue Jays. They have a four-game winning streak, longest in MLB, and have the look of a team that could make a nice run in the second half. It might be time to take a glance at their futures odds before this big series against the Red Sox (+1100 to win the AL East? Hmmm ... ).
