The Five Pointer: Liverpool players dominate Ballon d'Or shortlist

30 players have been named on the Ballon d’Or shortlist, with seven Liverpool stars making the list.

Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alisson have been chosen from Liverpool. Manchester City have five of their players named on the list.

Arsenal fell to their third defeat of the season last night as Sheffield United took all three points at Bramall Lane with a 1-0 win over the Gunners.
