The Most-Watched TV Shows Of 2015 Revealed
It’s been a year of incredible television, but which TV show had the most people gripped in 2015?
Well, in some very unsurprising news, it’s the BBC’s Great British Bake-Off that has topped this year’s list of most-watched TV shows, with 15.05m people tuning in to see Nadiya Hussein crowned the winner.
In fact, all ten episodes of the show made the top 40, with seven of them appearing in the top ten.
The list has been compiled using data published by the Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board (Barb).
ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent final came in second, with 12.75m of us watching Jules and Matisse win.
23 BBC One and 17 ITV programmes feature, with no other channel having shows on the list. Strictly Come Dancing is the show with the most entries (12 appearances in total).
While ITV programmes Britain’s Got Talent and I’m A Celebrity both feature, no episodes of The X Factor made the list, with the show suffering low ratings this year.
ITV did, however, have the most-watched sporting event of the year, with 9.7million people watching England take on Wales in the Rugby World Cup.
The also had the most-watched entertainment programme (BGT) and the highest-rated dramas (Broadchurch and Downton Abbey).
On top of all that, Yahoo Celebrity will be revealing our very own TV Personality of the Year today - but who will it be?
