Texas football finished 2019 with an 8-5 record. Win No. 8 came on New Year's Eve against Pac-12 South champion Utah, 38-10 in the Alamo Bowl.
Quarterback Sam Ehlinger led a Longhorns offense that gained 438 total yards. The defense held the 11th-ranked Utes out of the end zone until the fourth quarter.

As college football fans know, when the 'Horns can claim anything that resembles a big win, three little words come out: "Texas. Is. Back." It seems as though UT has been back/on the way back ever since having to say goodbye to Colt McCoy 10 years ago.
The phrase has become more plea than proclamation, and certainly more of a punch line than either of those, on the internet.
