Thomas Muller Names the One Thing About Cristiano Ronaldo That Impresses Him the Most

Just like the rest of us, Thomas Muller watched in awe this past week as Cristiano Ronaldo fired yet another hat trick for Real Madrid in the Champions League - his second in consecutive rounds.

His showing over the quarter-final and semi-final stages has re-ignited the classic debate of 'Ronaldo vs Messi' all over again, when it had seemingly only just died down again after the Argentine's dazzling display in El Clasico.

Not only does CR7's three-goal haul effectively assure Madrid of a place in Cardiff's final, but it now takes him to 103 strikes in Europe, which is more than Atletico Madrid collectively.

The former Manchester United star hit five across two matches to knock out Bayern Munich at the quarter-final stage, and that defeat for the German's allowed Muller to watch the superstar from a distance.

He gushed via FourFourTwo magazine: "Basically we all know that he is extraordinary, in his appearance and with his sporting performances. So he's already a phenomenon.

"You cannot achieve such numbers of goals for so many years and so often without having to work hard."

And despite the Portuguese captain's unbelievable talents, there is one aspect of his game that still doesn't get the credit it deserves according to Muller.

He added: "He has enormous physical and technical qualities, of course. But what impresses me the most are his heading skills. This is sometimes forgotten a bit. He has a fine technique, but he also has mad heading skills. If you look at him or Lionel Messi, the two are on a level above all others."

Superhuman Ronaldo has now plundered 35 goals in all competitions, having bagged 50 or more in each of his last six campaigns at the Bernabeu.
