Interim boss Rhys Carr has made three changes to Coventry City’s team to face joint top Sheffield United at the CBS Arena.

In comes fit-again Ben Sheaf and Josh Eccles – who was suspended last time out – while Norman Bassette comes in as the only striker named in the starting line-up on a day when Brandon Thomas-Asante and Ellis Simms are on the bench.

Brad Collins keeps his place in goal ahead of Oliver Dovin, who has recovered from the mystery injury that forced him to miss the Sunderland game, while Joel Latibeaudiere drops back into what looks to be a back three, having played in midfield at the Stadium of Light. Bobby Thomas and Luis Binks complete the trio of centre-backs as Liam Kitching drops to the bench.

Milan van Ewijk and Jay Dasilva are expected to occupy the wing-back positions while Victor Torp joins Eccles and Sheaf in midfield. That leaves Jack Rudoni who could be deployed just behind lone front man Bassette.

Haji Wright is out with an ankle injury while Jake Bidwell and Jamie Allen make a return to the squad, named amongst the substitutes.

City: Brad Collins; Joel Latibeaudier, Bobby Thomas, Luis Binks; Milan van Ewijk, Josh Eccles, Ben Sheaf, Victor Torp, Jay Dasilva; Jack Rudoni; Norman Bassette.

Subs: Oliver Dovin (GK), Liam Kitching, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Ellis Simms, Ephron Mason-Clark, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Jake Bidwell, Jamie Allen, Kai Andrews.
