Tiago Gouveia breaks Rangers transfer silence as Benfica threaten closed loan door
Tiago Gouveia has broken his silence on the "huge frustration" he's enduring at Benfica as Rangers weigh up a move for the winger.
The 23-year-old has emerged as an Ibrox transfer target this summer and he left the door open for an exit as he seeks new chances to gain minutes on the pitch. It's been reported this week that the Eagles rate the wide man at around £7million and there is interest from the likes of Villarreal and Anderlecht.
But as a loan option is also being considered by Gers, A Bola claim Benfica are now only said to be willing to sanction his departure if they can find a replacement.
After scoring for his side in their most recent win over Casa Pia, Gouveia was quizzed on his future. And he said: "I'm here every day waiting for opportunities. Sometimes it doesn't happen and the frustration is huge."
He joins Josip Brekalo as another possible incoming before the window slams shut but Philippe Clement still has to get players out the door before he can bring others in.
