Miguel Cabrera wasn't off to the best start this season, but he had been coming on as of late. The two-time American League MVP had hit safely in eight of his last nine games and brought his batting average up from .133 to .268 in the process.
Then, he had to leave Friday night's game with an apparent injury.
That injury is going to put him on the DL.
.@Tigers place 1B Miguel Cabrera on 10-day DL (right groin strain).

Cabrera was 3 for 3 Friday night before he went down with the injury. He had been battling back problems earlier in the season as well.
