Tigers stump Joplin 10-5

Mar. 28—After the Joplin Eagles got on the board first, the Tahlequah Tigers bounced back with a four-run inning to start their 10-5 win.

A pair of walks to the first two batters led a Cutter Girdner single to open the scoring. THS picked up three more runs on a pair of sacrifice fly balls and a Beckett Robinson single. The Eagles responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the third inning.

Both teams picked up a run each in the fifth inning to tie the game at 5-5. Robinson opened the scoring in the top of the sixth and was then scored by Brayden Northington to put THS up 7-5. The Tigers added three more runs in the seventh inning to secure the 10-5 win.
