Tim McGraw took a moment to recognize one of Iowa's finest while in the state on a recent tour stop.

McGraw, who is currently traveling the country on his Standing Room Only Tour, performed at the Wells Fargo arena in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday. For the show, he wore a no. 22 University of Iowa basketball jersey in honor of the school's record-breaking athlete Caitlin Clark.

The 56-year-old shared a photo from his performance on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, "When in Iowa . . . Had to represent! Big year for @CaitlinClark22 and @IowaWBB."

McGraw paired the black jersey with jeans and, of course, a cowboy hat.

Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes are currently playing in the NCAA women's basketball tournament — AKA March Madness. The Hawkeyes won their first-round game against Holy Cross on Saturday, 91-65. Clark, 22, contributed 27 points.

Last month, Clark became the NCAA women’s basketball’s all-time leading scorer during the Hawkeyes’ game against the Michigan Wolverines. Then, earlier in March, she doubled down and became the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer across both men's and women's basketball.

Clark had to surpass Louisiana State University (LSU) basketball player "Pistol" Pete Maravich to achieve the feat. Maravich died in 1988.

The superstar athlete is eligible to play one more season for Iowa, but confirmed that she will instead declare for the 2024 WNBA draft, which will be held on April 15.
