Sporting News

Last weekend's episodes of "The Last Dance" brought about a roller coaster of emotions. Fans cried at the opening tribute to Kobe Bryant, they laughed at the massive failure by Adidas to sign Michael Jordan to a shoe deal, they marveled at the fact that Ahmad Rashad is somehow 70 years old and still looks just like he did during film of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and some did all three when they saw the electric factory that was John Michael Wozniak, Jordan's security guard who shrugged him off in a hallway gambling game.

Tonight's episodes are expected to cover Jordan's first retirement from basketball in 1993 to play professional baseball, his return to basketball in 1995, the death of his father, Space Jam and more.

Here's everything you need to know about Sunday's episode of "The Last Dance," including the air time, channel and episode trailers.

'The Last Dance' Episodes 7-8 trailer

One of the topics teased in this week's trailer for episodes 7 and 8 of 'The Last Dance' was Jordan's forray into baseball following the 1993 NBA season, along with his return to basketball in 1995. Upon returning, he wore the No. 45 for his first 22 games before eventually reclaiming No. 23 in his 23rd game back.

Another topic that was teased by ESPN on Friday was Jordan's role in the 1996 classic, 'Space Jam,' and the effect it had on his brand and legacy.

Speaking of Space Jam, LeBron James teased his version of the upcoming sequel back in April.

Other topics to be covered in tonight's episodes include the death of Jordan's father, the Bulls' 72-win season and the 1996 NBA Finals, and the emotional toll that Jordan's leadership style took on his teammates, as well as himself (the end of episode seven is supposed to get very real).
