Tom Daly continues Connacht’s extension bonanza

·1-min read

Centre Tom Daly has become the latest in a string of players committing their future to Connacht, signing a two-year contract extension at the Sportsground.

A graduate of Leinster’s academy, Daly joins Finlay Bealham, Jack Carty, Oisín Dowling and Jack Aungier in signing an extension in the last few days as Connacht look to continue their momentum.

Daly, an U20 and sevens international for Ireland, was named the province’s Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year last season, earning a call-up to Ireland’s squad for the July Tests as well.

“Playing for Connacht has been the highlight of my career so far,” he said in a statement released by the club.

“There’s a really strong group of players and management who are all working together to succeed both in the URC and Champions Cup.

“I’m thankful to Andy (Friend) and the coaches who have shown trust in me and I can’t wait to play my part in achieving our aims in the years ahead.”
