Tom Hiddleston Gushed About Taylor Swift Following Met Gala Dance-Off: 'She's Very Charming, She's Amazing'

Tom Hiddleston just couldn't resist Taylor Swift's impressive dance moves.

Swift, 26, and Hiddleston, 35, have sparked romance rumors when they were spotted kissing and holding hands in Rhode Island, just weeks after the singer's breakup with Calvin Harris.

The duo were first seen together having a dance-off at the Met Gala in New York City last month – and the British actor previously admitted that the impromptu dance party was all Swift's idea.

"I was on a table with Taylor Swift and The Weeknd was playing and she said, 'The thing about these parties is nobody gets up to dance' and you're making music," the actor told the Press Association. "She, as a musician, was like, 'We've got to dance for The Weeknd,' so we got up and danced."

After an Instagram video of them busting a move went viral, Hiddleston couldn't stop singing his praises for his newfound dance partner.

"I sat next to her at dinner that night and she's very charming, she's amazing," he told MTV. "I've seen a couple of her videos. I think 'Shake It Off' was released around the time we made I Saw the Light, and she's very cool."

But while both stars might be equally skilled in the dancing department, Hiddleston – who portrayed legendary country singer Hank Williams in I Saw the Light – said he'd rather leave the singing to the pro.

"I don't know that I could stand up to her vocal talents," he said.

After the photos of the singer and actor hit the internet, Harris and Swift, 26, unfollowed each other on Twitter and erased all traces of their relationship from their respective Instagram accounts.

A source tells PEOPLE that Harris was not aware of the Swift's seemingly budding relationship with Hiddleston.

"He did not know Taylor and Tom were together," says the source of Harris.
