Tom Holland shares his favourite Spider-Man movie

Tom Holland has shared his favourite ever Spider-Man film, and it's one he doesn't even star in.

It turns out he MCU actor, who first appeared in the role of Peter Parker in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, is a big fan of Miles Morales. The character made his big screen debut as the protagonist of the animated Spider-Verse saga, produced by Sony and Columbia with Marvel.

Holland recently revealed 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the "best" Spidey movie, giving a shoutout to producer Amy Pascal, who's also behind the MCU's Spider-Man trilogy.

"I think the first Spider-Verse movie is the best Spider-Man movie that's ever been made," Holland told The Associate Press at the Apple TV+ premiere of his new series The Crowded Room.

"I am so proud of everyone involved," he said, adding: "Amy Pascal is like my mum."

The actor also explained he was supposed to attend the Across the Spider-Verse premiere with Pascal, but couldn't due to a scheduling conflict.

"I'm excited for the second one," he then said about the follow-up.

"I'm sure it will live up to every expectation, and I can't wait to see it."

As for his very own Peter Parker, Holland has weighed in on a delay on Spider-Man 4 amid the writers' strike.

He confirmed the fourquel is in "very, very early stages".

"I can't talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings," he told Variety.

"We've put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There's been multiple conversations had, but at this point it's very, very early stages."

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is in cinemas now. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is available to stream on Sky and NOW in the UK.
