West Ham are not said to be looking to sell midfielder Tomas Soucek this summer despite claims they are willing to listen to offers.

Reports on Thursday stated that the Hammers were ready to cash in on the 27-year-old after the Czech Republic star fell out with London Stadium chief David Moyes over talk of a bumper new contract.

Indeed, it’s claimed that Moyes does not feel Soucek is worthy of fresh terms just yet. That decision reportedly left the midfielder feeling ‘undermined’ and ‘surprised’ others at the club.

And Football Insider revealed that relations between Moyes and Soucek have deteriorated further. The report claims there is ‘tension’ at the club between the pair following a falling-out.

However, Sky Sports News states that Soucek remains an integral part of Moyes’ plans moving forward.

He currently has two years remaining on his contract, with the option of a further 12 months.

Soucek has been a major part of West Ham’s success under Moyes since signing in January 2020, initially on a loan deal from Slavia Prague.

He joined the Hammers permanently in July 2020 for a fee of £15m and has formed a fine partnership with Declan Rice.

Soucek made 51 appearances this season in all competitions for West Ham and scored six goals. His overall record for the Hammers is 19 goals in 105 games.

But while Soucek looks to be staying, West Ham have offloaded four senior stars.

Andriy Yarmolenko will join Mark Noble out of the door when his contract expires next month.

The 32-year-old forward scored 13 goals in 86 games for the Hammers but was never a regular first-team starter.

Full-back Ryan Fredericks will also leave when his deal runs out, as will experienced goalkeeper David Martin.
