The huge victory saw them usurp Stade Francais' record run between 2004 and 2008 and finish the regular season top of the table.

Clermont racked up nine tries - Noa Nakaitaci, Benson Stanley and winger Julien Malzieu contributing two apiece.

Toulon defeated Agen 43-21 at Stade Felix Mayol with winger Alexis Palisson contributing no less than three tries, and finish second in the regular season.

Third are Toulouse, who beat Grenoble 57-7. They play Racing Metro in the play-offs, with the winners facing Toulon.

In the other semi-final, Clermont will face the winner of the match between Castres and Montpellier.
