While the current squad is hotly-tipped for the Champions Cup quarter-finals and is making a good run to the Top 14 playoffs, Racing 92’s new-look squad for next season is becoming clearer.
A host of established players are leaving, including Georges-Henri Colombe, Yoan Tanga and Teddy Thomas to La Rochelle.
Mixture of old and new
Hookers Kévin Le Guen and Teddy Baubigny to Soyaux-Angoulême and Toulon respectively, second row Victor Moreaux is off to Perpignan, scrum-half Maxime Machenaud will move to Bayonne and Australian full-back Kurtley Beale is returning to the Waratahs.
But the Parisians announced contract extensions to fifteen players on Wednesday, including experienced prop Eddy Ben Arous, hooker Camille Chat, back row Baptiste Chouzenoux, centre Henry Chavancy and wing Juan Imhoff.
The club has also invested in the future by extending the contracts of youngters Antoine Gibert, Nolan Le Garrec and Max Spring.
Others to extend include lock Anton Bresler, props Ali Oz and Guram Gogichashvili, back rows Fabien Sanconnie and Ibrahim Diallo.
There have been extensions in the coaching staff too, with Dimitri Szarzewski staying two more years and Rory Teague arriving to replace the departing Mike Prendergast. Yannick Nyanga is to oversee the academy.
