Tottenham had £35million in capital injected into the club after owners ENIC marginally increased their share in the north London outfit last month.

On the day of Wednesday's North London Derby defeat at Arsenal, official documents were published on Companies House showing £35million raised by the allotment of shares. The documents showed that 5,767,984 shares were allotted across two tranches during December as ENIC increased their holding within the club.

The tranches included 4,111,643 at a price of £6.08 a share (£25million) and another 1,656,341 shares at £6.03 (£10million), making for a capital injection of £35million.

That means that ENIC have increased their stake in Spurs slightly to an 86.91% share, up from 86.58%, in order to what their website states is "to reflect shares allotted in December 2024 in respect of operational expansion".

It further explains that of that majority ENIC share of the club, a trust of which Joe Lewis' family are beneficiaries owns 70.12% while chairman Daniel Levy and his family are potential beneficiaries of discretionary trusts which own 29.88% of that share capital.

The increase in funds into the club comes at a time when Ange Postecoglou is desperate for new faces to bolster his threadbare and injury-hit squad and Tottenham supporters will be hoping that cash injection goes towards transfer business, following the £12.5million signing of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague.
