Tottenham have reportedly made contact with Everton regarding a move for Jordan Pickford, although the England international has raised some doubts over the move.

With Spurs actively seeking a replacement for Hugo Lloris, they have been linked with several goalkeepers from around Europe.

After spending the past 11 years in North London, Lloris is looking to explore his options this summer. The French goalkeeper had an inconsistent 2022-23 campaign and suffered from a knee injury.

Pickford has been on Spurs radar for some time now and according to the latest reports, they are ready to go in for the Everton keeper.

According to Football Transfers, Spurs have ‘contacted’ Everton over a move for Pickford. However, Everton’s high asking price could put the North London club off.

It is believed that the Toffees could demand around £40million for the England international. With Pickford under contract until 2027, Everton are in a strong position to negotiate.

While some pundits have questioned the 29-year-old at times this season, he has regularly delivered the goods in an Everton shirt.

In the 2022-23 campaign, he made 123 saves which was the third most in the Premier League. His impressive distribution skills also make him a desirable player for a club like Spurs.

Despite the interest from Tottenham, Pickford himself would like two assurances over the move.

The report claims that Pickford wants to know who the new manager will be before committing his future to the club.

As of writing, Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is in the driving seat to become the new manager.

Along with knowing who the next boss will be, Pickford also wants to know if Harry Kane will remain at the club past the summer transfer window.

With Kane only having one year left to run on his deal, his future in North London is up in the air right now.

The likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid are both said to be interested in a move for the England captain.

Despite Tottenham’s struggles this year, Kane still delivered the goods. Scoring 30 league goals would have been enough to win the Golden Boot in the majority of seasons.

As the Kane speculation is likely to rumble on throughout the summer, Pickford could be left in limbo on whether to make the move.
