Tottenham may have no problem offloading Harry Winks to a newly-promoted Premier League club if Everton drop their interest, one expert has said.

The midfielder struggled for game time last season and it looks as though his future lies away from Spurs. Indeed, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has moved on with the additions of Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma.

Everton have been hot on Winks’ trail this summer as they look to stabilise following their relegation scare last season.

However, various reports have indicated that, amid Tottenham‘s £20million demands, the Toffees would prefer a loan deal.

According to Spurs insider John Wenham, though, Everton may soon step up their interest if other clubs come calling. And Wenham added that newly-promoted Bournemouth would be a good move for Winks.

“Winks walks into a lot of Premier League clubs,” Wenham told Football Insider.

“I think it’s just about someone offering a fair fee for him, I appreciate he only has two years on his deal so I think Tottenham would just be happy with a permanent sale.

“I was never interested in this nonsense about Everton wanting a loan. So for me, I think he will join another Premier League club.

“Maybe Everton will realise they won’t be able to loan him and a deal could be done there. There are also the newly promoted clubs. I Have mentioned before that he would be a good fit at Bournemouth.

“I just hope he can sort his future out because he deserves to be playing every week.”

Winks began life at Tottenham under Conte as a first-team regular, until Bentancur arrived from Juventus in January.

And his current struggles are a world away from his previous claims to make the England squad.

But Winks does not find himself alone in the list of Tottenham midfielders – let alone players –  who now have an unclear future.

Conte sanctioned a January loan move for Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele. Like Winks, the pair have not travelled with Tottenham for their pre-season tour.

Elsewhere, left-back Sergio Reguilon did not make the touring party either.

Tottenham, who have spent big this summer on Richarlison and Bissouma in particular, are now looking to balance the books.

Winks looks set to move on and, given Everton’s influx of cash from Spurs for Richarlison, they may yet change their mind over a deal for the midfielder.
