Tottenham Hotspur, Villarreal and Sevilla are reportedly monitoring Sandro Ramirez following his impressive first season with Malaga. The forward was previously linked with Spurs during his time at the Barcelona and Sport says Mauricio Pochettino could be tempted to make a move in the coming summer transfer window amid a bargain release clause in his contract worth less than €6m (£5.1m, $6.5m).
The 21-year-old forward progressed through the Barcelona youth ranks before earning a first-team debut with the Catalans in 2014. He served as a back-up for the MSN trident of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar for the following two campaigns, scoring 7 goals in 32 appearances.
The Mirror reported during the 2016 January transfer window that Pochettino had tried to lure him to Tottenham to back up Harry Kane, while other reports suggested Newcastle were also interested.
Sandro, however, decided to continue with Barcelona for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign after the Catalans failed to sign Nolito.
The Catalans rewarded Sandro for his commitment to the club by letting him leave as a free agent, despite having the option to renew his contract.
Malaga took advantage of this and secured his services on a three-year deal, but his long-term future at La Rosaleda has come under question after impressing during his time there so far.
The Spain Under 21 international has scored 12 goals in 26 appearances for the Andalusian side, including 10 in La Liga.
Sport claims Sandro's impressive campaign has attracted the attention of a number of clubs from Spain and the Premier League, including Villarreal, Sevilla and Tottenham.
Malaga have already publicly admitted that they would like to keep the former Barcelona forward at the Rosaleda for the long term. However, the Spanish publication suggests it will be very difficult as he could be available for less than €6m.
The Canary Island forward forced that buy-out clause in his contract last summer to facilitate a future move to a bigger club.
