Since joining Spurs back in November 2021, Antonio Conte has done superbly to guide his new side to fourth place in the Premier League, crucially earning them Champions League qualification for 2022/23 after two years away from the European competition.

Tottenham achieved the feat on the final day of the Premier League, with an emphatic 5-0 win over Norwich enough to pip north London rivals Arsenal to fourth place.

With Champions League qualification now secured, Conte can now look forward to improving his side further with summer reinforcements, and Spurs have backed the Italian with a £150million investment for the upcoming window. The club's majority shareholders, ENIC, have pledged the cash, with the intention of providing "greater financial flexibility and the ability to further invest on and off the pitch".

It is believed that Spurs' first full season in their new groundbreaking stadium have helped raise the funds, while their European qualifcation also provided a hefty boost.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has commented on the club's summer investment, saying: "The delivery of a world-class home was always a key building block in driving diversified revenues to enable us to invest in the teams and support our ambitions to be consistently competing at the highest levels of European football. "Additional capital from ENIC will now enable further investment in the club at an important time." Having frequently warned the club about the importance of investing over the summer, Conte will be pleased to hear that his new side have answered his wishes, all-but confirming that the Italian will remain at Tottenham next season.

The 52-year-old has already showcased his ability to improve the squad, with the duo of Rodrigo Bentacur and Dejan Kulusevski having a major impact on the team's push for fourth after arriving from Juventus over January. Further signings of that impact will surely put Tottenham among the title challengers next season, with Spurs desperate to end their 14-year wait for silverware.
