Pavel Nedved has declared that Juventus are happy with Massimiliano Allegri at the helm, dismissing rumours that he will soon be replaced.

Juventus are not in the greatest of spots at the moment. Indeed, their form in both the league and the Champions League is leaving a lot to be desired.

The Italian giants currently sit seventh in the Serie A table, having won half of their games. They have also failed to make it out of their Champions League group.

Crashing out in the group stages means this is the first season they will not play in the knockouts for nine years. Their form in Europe this season has been the root of real concern.

Indeed, to this point, they have won just one game, against Maccabi Haifa. However, the Israeli side turned Juve over 2-0 in the return fixture.

Indeed, this sort of form is unexpected from one of Europe’s strongest sides. Manager Allegri’s job has looked to be insecure, given the poor form of his side.

His first spell at the club was more than successful. Allegri led Juventus to five consecutive titles, as the Old Lady dominated Serie A, winning it nine years on the bounce.

However, he could only manage to lead them to fourth upon returning to the club in 2021. Now, he seems to be facing real pressure.

Conte linked to replace Allegri

The first three titles in Juventus’ nine-year winning streak came under Tottenham manager Antonio Conte. He has been successful in more than one spell in Italy.

Indeed, he has been linked with a return, to take the Juventus job again.

He would no doubt be a welcome addition by fans, given the success the club had under him.

Conte might be the type of manager the Italian giants need to return to their status as the best side in Italy.

Nedved declares Allegri faith

However, it seems there will be no movement on the Juve manager front for now. Vice president Nedved has declared the confidence the club has in Allegri, despite their current struggles.

“Always the same idea about the coach , it remains what we have always said,” he told DAZN.

“Allegri has full confidence in the whole environment. It is normal when you do not achieve results as Juve ought to have names come out.

“But I think there will still be many. We want give everyone the opportunity to do their job well.”

The fact that Juve are keeping the faith in Allegri will be a real bonus for Spurs. Indeed, the north London outfit are in a good position under the manager.

They registered their best Premier League finish for three years during his first season at the club. Furthermore, they are currently third in the table; keeping Conte around seems the best way for the club to be successful at the moment.
