Fresh from their £150million cash injection, Tottenham are being strongly tipped to renew their interest in outstanding Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The ENIC Group, which owns a majority share in Spurs, are pumping more investment into the club after they booked a Champions League spot on the final day of the Premier League season.

The north London club are now set for a busy summer of incomings and outgoings as Antonio Conte shapes his squad for next season.

And according to a report in The Times, Tottenham are once again in the mix for Bissouma.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici is rumoured to have enquired about the 25-year-old in January. However, it looks like Spurs are ready to take that interest one step further by making an actual offer.

Bissouma currently has just a year left remaining on his Seagulls contract. To that end, Brighton’s best chance of recouping a decent fee for the player is this summer.

Bargain fee alerts Tottenham

The report adds that the dynamic midfielder will cost in the region of £30million. That is considered something of a bargain for a player who excelled in games against Tottenham this season.

Spurs are not the only interested party though. Indeed, Aston Villa have been showing significant interest – although they’ve now agreed a deal for Boubacar Kamara.

That could leave Conte’s men a free run at the Brighton man, especially given that they beat fellow Bissouma suitors Arsenal and Manchester United to that final Champions League spot.

Bissouma’s potential arrival would also prove to be the catalyst for Harry Winks’ likely departure.

The England man had hardly featured for Conte, particularly with the Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentancur partnership blossoming.

Permanent exits for Tanguy Ndomble and Giovani Lo Celso are also on the cards in a busy summer for Tottenham.

Bissouma gives Conte more dynamism

It cannot be argued that the Hojbjerg-Bentancur axis played a key part in Tottenham’s upturn in form under Conte.

However, the one thing missing from that partnership is box-to-box midfield play, and Bissouma offers that up in abundance.

He impressed in all three games against Spurs this season, scoring in the FA Cup defeat back in February and dominating from the middle of the park in Brighton’s shock 1-0 victory in north London in April.

Bissouma would certainly add more of a spark to a one-paced Tottenham engine room, especially in Europe. However, it will be harsh on whoever he replaces.
