Tottenham vs Manchester United LIVE!

Spurs rallied from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Manchester United in a thrilling Premier League clash on Thursday. The point left United six points clear of fifth-placed Spurs with two games in hand and all-but puts paid to the London side's hopes of Champions League football next season.

Jadon Sancho put United ahead after seven minutes when he cut in from the left and struck a low right-foot shot into the far corner past three defenders and goalkeeper Fraser Forster. Rashford made it 2-0 just before halftime when he ran onto a long ball from Bruno Fernandes, outpaced Eric Dier and fired past Forster after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg lost possession.

Spurs fully deserve to be level. They have torn at United since half-time.

Mason now faces a question of whether he protects what he has or goes for a big win in the final 10 minutes.

GGGGGOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!!!! Tottenham 2-2 Man Utd

21:53 , Marc Mayo

79 mins: KANE TO SON.... GOAL!

No mistake from this finish after a perfect slide-rule pass into the box by Kane.

Who fancies the winner?!

21:51 , Marc Mayo

77 mins: Tottenham are the side in the ascendancy but Mason isn’t resting on his laurels.

Danjuma replaces Porro as Davies replaces Perisic, so a change on both flanks.

21:47 , Marc Mayo

74 mins: Lindelof, on a booking, decks Son and avoids a second booking.

Kane is hot on Anthony Taylor, who decides promptly to let the United defender off.

Porro clips the free-kick up to Kane for a dangerous cross... somehow cleared!

21:45 , Marc Mayo

71 mins: Two more Man United changes.

Antony off for Weghorst, Wan-Bissaka off for Malacia.

That’ll be a reshuffle, sending Martial out wide and Dalot to the right.z

Dan Kilpatrick at Tottenham Stadium

21:44 , Marc Mayo

How are Spurs not level? Big misses from Son and Dier in the last few minutes have left United off the hook.

Whatever the outcome, this has been an impressive rally from the hosts since half-time, suggesting there is life in this team yet.

21:44 , Marc Mayo

70 mins: Big tackle from Skipp in his own area denies Rashford a shot on the penalty spot.

Got all of the ball and has left his opponent looking a bit uneasy on his feet. No surprise, it was a chunky one.

Tottenham chance!

Perisic cuts a fine cross into the six-yard box and he misses, unmarked!

Porro’s corner cleared by Fernandes before a tame Hojbjerg volley is held by De Gea.

Richarlison taken off by Mason, for Kulusevski.

21:33 , Marc Mayo

59 mins: Lindelof booked for hauling down Kane.

Spurs fans raise their volume and Perisic wins a corner...

Dan Kilpatrick at Tottenham Stadium

21:33 , Marc Mayo

It was a very tasty finish from Porro, who like the rest of this Spurs team is much more comfortable going forward than defending.

Once again, the next goal feels huge. If Spurs get it, the roof will come off and we could be on for a big finish but United would surely kill the game with a third.

Man Utd chance!

21:31 , Marc Mayo

57 mins: FERNANDES HITS THE BAR!

So close for United after a lovely piece of skill from the midfielder... and Wan-Bissaka’s rebound is saved!

GGGGOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!! Tottenham 1-2 Man Utd

21:29 , Marc Mayo

56 mins: PORRO!

HOPE FOR SPURS?!

Another scramble in the box leads to Porro lashing home a fine volley!

21:28 , Marc Mayo

55 mins: Superb tackle from Wan-Bissaka to pluck the ball off Richarlison’s toes on a dangerous run.

The atmosphere around the ground is very flat.

21:25 , Marc Mayo

21:22 , Marc Mayo

Hard to know if VAR would have given a foul in that malestrom.

21:20 , Marc Mayo

46 mins: A couple of early corners for Spurs as Perisic looks dangerous again.

Casemiro heads well clear from the second.

Bournemouth have a vital lead on Southampton in the clash on the south coast.

Newcastle remain a goal up in their game at Everton, with just over 20 minutes left to play in both.

An unenviable task for Ryan Mason

21:14 , Marc Mayo

Exactly what the Tottenham boss does after that goal is tough to say.

Spurs had slightly improved beforehand but lack confidence in front of goal, where Richarlison is their only real threat.

It’s not the system, or the manager, or the weather... it’s the players.

Gameplan going well for Man Utd

21:11 , Marc Mayo

While looking a bit suspect in defence, the attacking set-up for the visitors is coming off nicely.

A third goal will surely kill this one off and Erik ten Hag will be demanding an early bid for just that when we restart.

HT, 0-2. Boos at half-time as Spurs trail to goals by Sancho and Rashford after more soft defending.

They have had the openings to score - Richarlison has been bright but his decision making poor.

Rashford’s goal feels like a killer and came when Spurs were building pressure.

45 mins: Certainly not game over but that is a suckerpunch for Ryan Mason, whose team had been improving in the past few minutes.

Two minutes added on.

GGGGOOOOAAALLLL!!!! Tottenham 0-2 Man United

20:59 , Marc Mayo

44 mins: RASHFORD!

Perisic has a shot tipped away by De Gea before Fernandes launches a quick counter, finding Rashford with a long ball... he beats Dier and buries his shot!

20:58 , Marc Mayo

43 mins: Wan-Bissaka booked for an aimless boot that catches Richarlison. Not been the full-back’s night against the Brazilian.

20:56 , Marc Mayo

41 mins: Now Rashford drills a low one that Forster blocks.

Lots of chances coming late in the half and United will get another after Hojbjerg catches Fernandes late. Yellow card.

Eriksen floats the free-kick over the bar.

20:55 , Marc Mayo

40 mins: More joy for Spurs down the left wing as Hojbjerg tees up Kane, whose ball is whipped past De Gea but away from goal.

Man United chance!

20:54 , Marc Mayo

39 mins: Forster makes himself big to deny Rashford from close range!

Dan Kilpatrick at Tottenham Stadium

20:54 , Marc Mayo

Richarlison keeps getting into great positions down the left but he has been too unselfish, suggesting he is lacking some confidence in front of goal.

Really begs the question of why Conte/Stellini didn’t use him in his preferred position more often.

20:53 , Marc Mayo

38 mins: Sancho drops back nicely to pick Kane’s pocket after Tottenham had threatened through Shaw’s errant pass.

A bit of life about the hosts, you know.

20:51 , Marc Mayo

36 mins: Richarlison does really well to dig a cross out form the left channel and the ball rolls harmlessly across the six-yard line before Dalot hooks it clear.

Son and Kane were nowhere near it!

Elsewhere in the Premier League

20:50 , Marc Mayo

The second half is kicking off at the two earlier games, with Newcastle leading Everton by a goal to nil thanks to a Callum Wilson goal.

Southampton and Bournemouth are 0-0.

20:48 , Marc Mayo

33 mins: United fans signing “Harry Kane, we’ll see you in June”. Bold!

20:47 , Marc Mayo

32 mins: More pressure from Spurs, to which the home fans respond.

Porro whips in another corner, this one deep... deep... and far too deep. Goal kick.

20:44 , Marc Mayo

29 mins: Cracking reflex stop by De Gea from the corner after Perisic’s near-post header is flicked goalwards!

20:43 , Marc Mayo

28 mins: Huge opening for Richarlison after link-up with Hojbjerg leaves Wan-Bissaka for dead.

Oddly, he opts to pass across the goal rather than whack it and Shaw clears!

20:42 , Marc Mayo

26 mins: Delicious ball in from Eriksen after a short corner - yet no one is there to finish it off.

A harsh offside call denies another corner.

20:40 , Marc Mayo

25 mins: Not too convincing from Forster as he parries away a Fernandes ping from range that looked to be straight at him.

Dan Kilpatrick at Tottenham Stadium

20:39 , Marc Mayo

Spurs are trying to play positively in the 3-4-3 system and Mason has got Kane dropping in possession while Son and Richarlison push on.

The Brazilian is causing United problems on his preferred left flank.

20:38 , Marc Mayo

23 mins: Tottenham aren’t able to cope with United coming forward diagonally from right to left, another swift move leading to Eriksen running out of room by the corner flag.

Off the line!

20:35 , Marc Mayo

19 mins: Sancho is teed up in a slick right-to-left move... first up it’s a slide tackle block before the rebound is headed off the line by Perisic!

20:33 , Marc Mayo

17 mins: Richarlison, Son and Kane trying to form nippy, narrow triangles in attack that don’t quite come off with the Brazilian’s cross plucked by De Gea.

Down the other end, Wan-Bissaka plays a cross that is pretty decent to the far post. No runner, though.

20:29 , Marc Mayo

14 mins: First shot on goal for Tottenham!

Kane and Son spin out a quick attack to find Richarlison, who was probably offside before running at goal and stinging De Gea’s palms.

20:28 , Marc Mayo

13 mins: Rashford to take... drills a low effort wide. Forster had it covered.

20:27 , Marc Mayo

12 mins: Dier in too late on Rashford and United have a promising free-kick spot, centrally and 30 yards out.

Dan Kilpatrick at Tottenham Stadium

20:25 , Marc Mayo

It was far too easy for United to bypass the Spurs midfield and once Rashford had passed Skipp’s challenge, the pitch opened up in front of him.

Credit to Sancho for the finish but it’s another soft goal conceded by Spurs.

20:24 , Marc Mayo

8 mins: That was a fairly familiar goal for Spurs to concede, it was much like how Joelinton created Newcastle’s opener on the weekend.

A brief chant of ‘Come on you Spurs’ out the home end but it’s all coming from the away fans as United settle back into possession.

GGGGOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!! Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

7 mins: SANCHO WITH THE BREAKTHROUGH!

Rashford finds the winger on the left and he cuts inside easily, beating Porro and Romero, before firing into the far corner!

5 mins: Vital touch by Lindelof to turn away a weak Son cross from a good position on the right wing, which was found by a lovely Porro ball.

A first move forward by the hosts.

A fairly measly record of five goals in 18 games against Manchester United for Harry Kane, who has lost ten of those meetings.
