Toulon's fourth win in a row came courtesy of five tries including two from Maxime Mermoz.

After Wilkinson left on 20 minutes, Frederic Michalak took over playmaking duties.

Perpignan won for the first time this season, 18-13 over Bayonne, while a late Stade Français try gave them a 20-20 draw at home to Castres as their poor start to the season continued.

Toulouse scored eight tries as they beat Agen by a mammoth 62-13 scoreline while Grenoble also had a huge 52-7 win over Mont-de-Marsan.

In the day's early match, Biarritz beat Montpellier 27-8 to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
