Toulouse coach Sylvain Houles believes his side have panicked in their last two games, and insists they need to control the controllables.

The French side have lost their two games, with the latest coming in a disappointing 30-6 home defeat against an injury-hit Hull side.

Prior to their 24-11 loss to Salford last week, Toulouse had been on a three-match winning run.

“Our indiscipline has cost us again, with and without the ball,” Houles said after their defeat to Hull.

“We didn’t start bad but after that we just caved in too often. We did the same against Salford in the second half last week.

“There are things that we should be able to control and do better and we just haven’t done this in the last two weeks.”

Toulouse go back to the foot of the table

Toulouse have now gone back to the bottom of the Super League table. Their relegation rivals Wakefield picked up an impressive 32-6 win at Castleford on Friday night to go two points above Toulouse in the table.

Toulouse face a decimated Hull KR side on Thursday, whilst Wakefield host Catalans Dragons on Sunday.

Houles wants to see action from his players against Hull KR next week, and for them to focus on themselves rather than the opposition.

“We’re doing a lot of talking at the moment but I want to see some action and it is crucial that we do this next Thursday at Hull KR,” he said.

“Things happen in a game and you have to react the right way and defend your line, make sure you get the ball back and change the momentum, but at the moment we don’t know how to do it.

“In the last two games we have panicked at times and we cannot afford to do it.

“We have to deal with what we can control. We can’t think too much about Hull KR and how many players they have out because Hull were under-strength tonight. I think we probably focused too much on that and not our own game.”
