MOTORISTS are being urged to be considerate when parking, as this can cause a major problem for emergency services.

Firefighters in Warrington came across inconsiderate parking over the weekend which left a fire engine unable to navigate a street.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service says this can lead to delays in getting to incidents – which can often be life or death situations.

Drivers are urged to think about where they park and consider whether a fire engine or ambulance could get past if needed.

The team from Birchwood Fire Station said: “Please, please, please check your parking.

“We urge all motorists to consider whether there is enough room for a fire engine to fit through, as this can delay our response to emergency incidents.”
