Real want Haaland and Bellingham, PSG to pay Man Utd £50m for Maguire
Real Madrid are coming for Erling Haaland earlier than expected, while PSG are said to be willing to pay £50million for Man Utd’s third-choice centre-back. Mad b*stards…
REAL MADRID EYE EARLY ERLING HAALAND DEAL
Erling Haaland is at Manchester City for a good time, not a long time. That’s always seemed clear when he was joining the champions last summer amid the widespread feeling that he would be on his way, probably to Real Madrid, before the 22-year-old hits what are supposed to be his peak years.
It was thought he would stick around at the Etihad for longer than a year, though. But The Independent reckons Real Madrid are intent on testing City and Haaland’s resolve by making a move for the Norwegian this summer.
Haaland is enjoying a ridiculous first season in the Premier League, even amid a debate over whether his presence in the forward line makes City a stodgier team. This report states that the striker is ‘happy’ at City, who have in recent years resisted interest in their stars from the Spanish big boys unless it suited them to sell. But Florentino Perez is said to be keen to bring in a striker this summer, with Karim Benzema pushing 36 before the end of the year.
Not only that, Perez remains determined to sign Jude Bellingham as well as Haaland. Liverpool fans seem to be working themselves into something of a frenzy amid talk that the England midfielder wants a move to Anfield above all else. But Real’s interest remains strong and the Reds need the lure of Champions League football.
PSG TO GO AGAIN FOR £50M MAGUIRE
Here’s one to placate any PSG fans out there still p*ssed off by the latest Champions League failure: The Sun says you’re signing Harry Maguire for £50million.
The story goes that a deal was ‘on the table’ to take the Manchester United captain to Paris in January but the window closed before the details could be finalised.
But PSG are said to be willing to kick the can down the road to the summer, when they will have no issue matching Maguire’s current £200,000-a-week salary. If they really are willing to pay £50million for a 30-year-old with two years on his contract, who’s barely even third-choice centre-back at United these days, is another matter. Especially when Milan Skriniar looks Paris-bound on a free transfer from Inter.

UNITED LINKED WITH CHELSEA, ROMA, BRENTFORD STARS
United could put their Maguire windfall towards signing three other players they are linked with this snowy Friday morning…
The Guardian reckons the Red Devils will rival Liverpool for Mason Mount. The Chelsea attacker is approaching the final year of his contract with little prospect of a renewal and Todd Boehly is loathe to lose the England star for nothing further down the line.
United could snap up Paulo Dybala from Roma for as little as £11million, according to Goal. Assuming he’s finally warmed to the idea of moving to Old Trafford.
And Talksport suggests that David Raya could replace David De Gea in United’s net this summer. De Gea is out-of-contract at the end of the season and the Red Devils won’t take up their option to extend for another 12 months on his current salary. Raya’s deal at Brentford is also ticking down, with only just over a year left to run. Chelsea and Tottenham are also said to be keen on the Spaniard.
